Winding down and winding up.

Nov 3, 2020 | Adventures in Winemaking

October is over and suddenly we are making plans for Thanksgiving! How exactly did that happen???

The Charles R harvest was a small one this year, and even through the worries of fire, smoke taint, and amidst the constant undercurrent of Covid, we remain excited for the results of the 2020 vintage. We can confidently say it is one we will not soon forget!

Our 2020 Rose´of Sangiovese (now in its third year of production) has recently been filtered and is awaiting bottling. The flavors so far are sublime! Citrus and berries combine for what is sure to be a delightful Spring sipper. Our 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon from the Casa de Vinas vineyard has been put in barrel to rest through the Winter, but is showing great potential already and may just be our best Cab yet!

Looking ahead, we are planning for our next bottling this December and are so excited to bring you some new wines to look forward to! We have a new blend coming down the pipeline (keep your eyes peeled for Coyote Red), our new vintage of Rose´ and Sauvignon Blanc, as well as a new reserve program for some of our longtime staples such as Chardonnay and Cabernet!

So while we have missed seeing you all terribly, we have been working diligently to have some new and exciting things for you to look forward to when you come visit us again. And you can finally come see us on the patio! Reservations are now available, so check out our new and improved website to make your reservation today!

Cheers to you and yours.  We hope to see you soon.

Lisa
