Lisa Lee | The Winemaker
Winemaker Lisa Lee first discovered Livermore wine country through classes at Las Positas College’s Viticulture and Winery Technology program. She later earned her Winemaking Certificate from the University of California, Davis, in 2012. She sees good food and wine as the cornerstone to friendship, laughter and important decision making.
After living here for 8 years, Lisa has “totally fallen in love” with Livermore. “There are some really great winemakers and beautiful wines coming out of Livermore Valley right now,” said Lisa. “I am excited for the opportunity to contribute and be part of this community. My goal is to make wine that will convey a sense of place, balance and commitment to craft.”

Winemaker Lisa Lee’s Coyote Red, a mouth-watering blend of Zinfandel and Petite Sirah!
“Roll out the barrel, we’ll have a barrel of fun! “
What a difference a year makes! Barreled wines can show us a small glimpse into the future of what to expect from a certain wine. We see the wild fruit, acid and tannin soften and integrate over time to eventually reveal a layered, complex and polished gem. The exciting part is to check in on these wines along the way and see the different paths they may take. Enjoy these two barrels and compare...

weight palate and shows a bright and bold cherry note that carries through from the nose through the finish.
Rolling out the red carpet for our new Reserve wines!
The term “Reserve” is one of those wine words that can have many definitions (or none at all). There is technically no requirement for what constitutes a reserve and it is the discretion of the winemaker to determine which wines or lots are worthy of being held back for this elusive designation. Most typically, “reserve” will mean longer age time, or age time in a specific type of barrel,...
2020 Miners Rosé of Sangiovese, Strawberry leads on the nose and Rhubarb rounds out the palette!
Tasting Notes While completely dry, this wine glides across the palette with a smooth confidence. Strawberry leads on the nose and rhubarb rounds out the palette. Refreshing citrus leads to watermelon in a lingering finish. A beautifully food-friendly wine, this is one that will pair with holiday fare, late summer BBQ, and rich soups and stews. 2019 Primitivo, an extremely food friendly wine for the holidays
Raspberry leads on the nose, but quickly makes way for a complex earth and spice profile. Rosemary, white pepper, fresh tobacco leaf and dusty dark chocolate all politely take turns on the palette. A firm acidity makes this an extremely food friendly wine, but the rich fruit forwardness makes it perfectly enjoyable on its own. We think this will be the quintessential holiday wine. It will go...
Come to the dark side… dark and delicious Petite Sirah
Come to the dark side. Dark and delicious, that is - warm violets on the nose, black cherries on the palate and inky tannins on the finish. Even though this wine is dark all the way around, the tannins are well balanced without being overwhelming. The deep dark style of Petite Sirah tends to lend itself to long bottle aging and grows more drinkable over time. After 5...
Chipotle all day…..
The days are flying, and once again we've circled back around to our Favorite Day of the Month - Food and Wine Pairing Day! Chipotle-All-Day did NOT disappoint. This month we paired our barely-released 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon with an assortment of tacos and meats from Chipotle Mexican Grill and, HOLY Chipotle, it's safe to say we did real good. While Cabernet may not be the first wine you...
2019 Chardonnay, beautiful rich palate with notes of pineapple and toasted coconut
We’re all excited about our new release, 2019 Chardonnay! While medium bodied in mouthfeel and texture, this Chardonnay has developed a beautifully rich palate filled with notes of pineapple and toasted coconut. Flavors of melon, and lemon custard glide over the palate. Perfectly integrated oak provides a complimentary structure for the acidity. Zero residual sugar keeps this wine...
