Lisa Lee | The Winemaker

Winemaker Lisa Lee first discovered Livermore wine country through classes at Las Positas College’s Viticulture and Winery Technology program. She later earned her Winemaking Certificate from the University of California, Davis, in 2012. She sees good food and wine as the cornerstone to friendship, laughter and important decision making.

After living here for 8 years, Lisa has “totally fallen in love” with Livermore. “There are some really great winemakers and beautiful wines coming out of Livermore Valley right now,” said Lisa. “I am excited for the opportunity to contribute and be part of this community.  My goal is to make wine that will convey a sense of place, balance and commitment to craft.”

Muffuletta is betta’ when paired with Charles R Barbera – our July Wine of the Month!

It's been called a "meat and cheese masterpiece..." You (muffu)letta me tell you about this perfect pairing! For our July wine of the month food pairing, we worked with our friends at Salt Craft bakery, and were lucky to indulge in their out-of-this-world muffuletta sando, piled high with fresh meats, cheese and olives - all on fresh baked bread.  Like all the best Italian food and wine...

July Wine of the Month – 2017 Barbera

Tasting Notes   This Barbera boasts a mid-weight palate and shows a bright and bold acidity that makes it a perfect partner to smoked meats, tomato-based pasta dishes, pizza and mushroom risotto. The fruit profile is a little darker and a bit more serious than years past.  Think black cherry instead of bing cherry, dark chocolate over milk chocolate, and black currant over...

Wild Wings and Willing Wine!

Wine of the Month Panda-monium with Bobcat Red!

It was Panda-monium last week when we continued our Wine of the Month/Fast Food pairing series: This time it was this month’s featured wine, Bobcat Red, with a plethora of menu selections from Panda Express. Why Food is my Love Language: A HERstory

I have had the privilege of being raised and surrounded by AMAZING women all my life.  Growing up in my family’s restaurant – quite literally growing up there – sometimes running around the back dining room late in the evening, in my pajamas, while my mom finished up her shift – I always assumed it was commonplace to be surrounded by strong women.  My mom is first generation Italian...
